Goshawk Bell Tent

On the main field our Goshawk Bell tent is a whopping 6m and suitable for couples. It is situated a couple of minutes walk from the car park and about two minutes of easy walking to the shower block.

Apart from its palatial space this lovely tent has an adventurous feel. It is carpeted and has a dual burner gas stove for cooking and a wood burning stove for heating. It stays warm and toasty even in winter once the fire is on.

This tent comes with a lovely little seating area, camp fire and outdoor oven that is hidden away down some steps behind the tent. This is a fantastic spot to chat and play.

Bell Tent History
Used for thousands of years by many different cultures across the world, the bell tent as we know it today has its camping origins in the Tipi, an officer in the U.S army, Henry Hopkins Sibley saw the native American Tipis and used those design features to develop the bell tent which was used extensively by the US army during the Utah Expedition of 1857-1858.
